Long Term Care Leads

Long Term Care insurance is a line that has been picking up a lot of traction over the last several years.  While it might not be quite as straight forward as Final Expense insurance many seniors are realizing the need for long term care insurance which can make it a quicker sell.  While a “quick sell” is not a term typically used in the senior market there are many prospects that need to know all the details so be prepared to be patient with this line.

We recommend focusing on direct mail and internet based lead methods for LTC although most marketing methods can be effective as well if presented properly.   The advantages of using both direct mail and internet based leads is that you can give the prospect time to think about decision as well as give them an opportunity to satisfy the need instantly.  We highly recommend having a website or webpage created to capture leads by including the web address as an alternative response option on your mailer.  If you do not have a website be sure to cover your bases with internet lead companies that offer long term care leads.  We have seen an increasing volume of LTC leads generated via online channels so you don’t want to miss these opportunities. 

One specific lead generation method that also works well for LTC is the informational seminar.  While seminars are typically a much larger undertaking than other markeing methods we do recommend them for the senior market with a strong focus on the benefits of long term care coverage.

As with other senior lines be sure to cross-sell related senior products with an engaged prospect or when contacting a current client.
